Dr Linda Acredolo and Dr Susan Goodwyn
Dr Linda Acredolo and Dr Susan Goodwyn are Professors at the University of California. Together they have
focused a great deal of their research on the benefits of gestural and
signed communication of preverbal hearing infants. They have
made significant contributions within their academic field, publishing
a number of studies which attempt to quantitatively and qualitatively
measure the short and longer term impacts of teaching gestures and signs
to infants. The first book they publish based on their research was
entitled: Baby Signs: How To Talk With Your Baby Before Your Baby Can
Talk", in 1996.
